Marathon News: Rock ‘n’ Roll, New York City, 13.1 Series

Lots of marathon news from around the running world.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll series announced a batch of changes for the 2014 Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon after runners stormed social media with gripes about the 2013 race.
A large group of races have gotten new sponsors, including the New York City Marathon and 13.1 Marathon Series.
And the TCS New York City Marathon lottery application is officially open.
Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon Gets A Makeover
You complained. They heard.
Runners praised some aspects of the 2013 Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon in Washington, D.C.: the course, expo, race shirts, medals and post-race food.
But they also took to Facebook, Twitter and other sites to complain of long waits at bag check, unmanned and disorganized water stations, and a chaotic finish, among other grievances.
