Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Weekend Info Is Here
* * *
It’s official! The much-anticipated inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon is coming to France from September 23-25, 2016. Disney announced the new race at the start of the Disney Princess Half Marathon presented by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Walt Disney World in Florida on February 22, 2015.
No other information about the race has been released just yet. But you can register your interest at DisneylandParis.com to get more details about the event and registration when it’s released.
My husband has been trying to get me to Paris since we first met seven years ago. As a native Montrealer, he speaks French fluently, attended French school while living abroad as a child, lived and worked in Paris in college, and loves all things French. Methinks this will finally get us to book the trip. I’ve only been to Paris once about 15 years ago. So I’m definitely overdue. I think a runDisney race is the perfect excuse.
How about you? Aspirations to run the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon in 2016?
As a member of the media, I have attended runDisney events courtesy of Disney. But as always, all opinions are purely my own. I really do believe in being honest about my experiences. For more information read my Disclosure Policy.

Bien sur, tu dois y aller! (Of course, you must go there!)
Several years of French + one summer of being a French-speaking nanny for a family in Brussels. I learned more French from those kids than I did in all my years in school. They were the strictest teachers that I’ve ever had. I haven’t used it in a long long while, so much of it is rusty.
Haha, I’m sure those kids set you straight! What an amazing experience to have had!

I’ve never been to Paris and I’ve always wanted to run a Disney race. That would be so cool to do both!

If this is successful, I see rD adding race weekends at their other locations. Maybe make it a challenge like the C2C.

That would be amazing! But likely more challenging. Unlike the US Disney properties, the overseas resorts aren’t wholly owned by Disney. They have partial ownership in Paris & Hong Kong, and don’t own Tokyo at all, but license the name & characters to the company that does. So it would take more than just getting Disney on board. But we can dream! Japan has a HUGE running culture so runDisney races might make sense!

I’ve been missing Paris and what better excuse than a runDisney race to go back and visit!! Pain au chocolates are calling my name!

Yay I registered my interest online, thank you so much for sharing the link! I really hope that they will come through this time
Paris is way easier to get to than Florida, although I really want to go next year. Fingers crossed!
Yay! I’m sure there are many EU running and Disney fans excited about this one. I hope you’re able to run it and get to Florida too!

I am a HUGE Disney fan…not so much to travel out of the States…but this could just be the thing to give me the nerve to go abroad?? I have run 2 Goofy Challenges, 1 Dopey Challenge, Princess, Tinker Bell, Disneyland 3 x’s (2 Dumbo Dares), WDW one and only Relay, and the Wine and Dine. My goal is to ru all runDisney races (but going to miss out on the Everest Challenge
)
I think my bigger issue will be financing a trip to Paris?? I don’t think a year and a half will even be possible to save for a trip as big as this????
How long do you stay?
Airfare
Hotel
Tickets
Food
Sightseeing
etc

Depending on where you are, the flights should cost you between $700-$1500 per person coach. A three night four day stay at the park(s) will cost about $1200 for two people. That includes park tickets and hotel. The race cost is probably going to be equivalent to the US cost which is now $200 so perhaps about 200 Euros. All together, for two people, you would want to probably budget at least $5000. That allows you enough $ to explore Paris and France as well.
I have already begun planning on it. I’ve done the Disneyland and Disneyworld Half Marathons; now time to upgrade it a bit and go back to Disneyland Paris. Someday . .I hope to hear about the Tokyo Disneyland Half Marathon.
