Here’s what runDisney has planned for 2015, including a Frozen themed 5K and Kids Races with medals to match.

Coast-to-Coast Race Challenge

Runners who complete both the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon and the 2015 Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland from May 7-10 will receive a special edition pink runDisney Coast-to-Coast Race Challenge medal. The Tinker Bell Half Marathon is Disney’s West Coast women-focused running event.

Instead of the standard blue lanyard, the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse special edition medal features a pink lanyard and pink overlay.

Run as a team (RunDisney)

And because two or three or four Disney Princesses are better than one, runners can also race as a team. Team registration is $10 per person, with unlimited members allowed per team. Runners must register as an individual first, then create their team to receive a commemorative team bib, commemorative team item, and a team photo area at packet pick-up.

Disney Castaway Cay Challenge

And if you want to run yet another Disney race, runners can sign-up for the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge aboard the Disney Cruise Line 4-night Bahamian Cruise February 23-27, 2015 sailing.

The challenge combines a 5K or longer distance run at the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend with the Disney Castaway Cay 5K on February 25, 2015 at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. Runners earn a Disney Castaway Cay Challenge Finisher Medal, Castaway Cay Challenge Shirt, Castaway Cay 5K Finisher Medallion, along with other perks onboard.

Just be sure to read the fine print on this one. “To be eligible for the Castaway Cay Challenge runners must enter their cruise reservation number at the time of registration for a 5K or longer 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon race event,” per runDisney’s website. Book the cruise first at DisneyCruise.com with code RUN, then register for the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge beginning July 22 at 12 p.m. ET on Active.com.

I am definitely on the fence this year! It is definitely going to be a last minute decision tonight. It’s hard to say no when we have run this event the past three years!

That’s a tough one. Sometimes you want to keep going back and sometimes you want to try other races. My longest race streak was 4 years in a row for the 5th Ave Mile…but it’s only a mile race & the start is 2 miles from my door, so it was a much easier decision to keep going back!

It is taking everything I have not to register this year! But since I’ll be “going Goofy” in Jan., it’s just not in the cards for next year (ugh, if only I could hurry up and win the lottery already..) 😉

Princess will always be such a special race for me since it was my first half. I recommend it to pretty much everyone when they ask me which race they should run “if they ever signed up for a half marathon,” haha. You could NOT have a more fun girls’ weekend!

I agree. I love Princess. I only ran it once in 2012, but we made a family weekend out of it. My sister, brother-in-law, their kids, Phil and I all went. We all ran different races, cheered each other on, and had an absolute blast.

I managed to resist registering for this race when it was open for DVC and AP holders, but I’m not going to lie, it’s tough having to resist registering again. It was my first half marathon! But with Goofy, I must be strong! …unless I win lotto in the next 4 hours, then screw it, I’m registering!

It’s tough when races sell out so fast. If you’re not available, you miss out. That’s why lotteries, as annoying as they are, are better in some respects for the really popular events. Maybe next time!
