in24 Philadelphia is a 24-hour race weekend featuring an Ultra-Marathon, Relay Challenge, Midnight Madness and Finale 5K. All proceeds benefit Back on My Feet, a national charity that helps America’s homeless population use running to transform their lives. In 2013, in24 Philadelphia raised nearly $300,000 for Back on My Feet.

Two winners will get their choice of entry into either the in24 Philadelphia Midnight Madness or Finale 5K races.

Here’s a bit more about each race.

Midnight Madness

“Light the path for the Ultra-Runners and Relay teams in Philadelphia’s only glow-in-the-dark run, which takes place on Sunday, July 20, at midnight. Midnight Madness runners will race the 8.4-mile loop around Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River.”

Runners are encouraged to wear glow paint, glow sticks, lights, flashlights, and headlamps to light up the race.

All runners receive a medal, and a non-cash prize will be given to the most illuminated runner, plus $250 to the top male and female finishers.

Runners will receive a finisher’s medal, and the top male and female win $100 each.

Looks like a fun run! I’ve entered :)
Have to tell you I found that elusive perfect half marathon course combined with great weather and surprised myself with my first sub 2 hour half. I highly recommend the Scotiabank Vancouver Half. Lots of downhill, no humidity…a perfect day!
