SHAPE Diva Dash

SHAPE May 2014

SHAPE and EAS Sports Nutrition brought me on as a hired gun for the 2014 SHAPE Diva Dash series. I had so much fun at the 2013 SHAPE Diva Dash that it was easy to say yes. I’m sharing training tips in ads for EAS and the race in the April and May issues.

I’m also running the SHAPE Diva Dash in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-Saint Paul on May 31, 2014. Want to join me?

I’m giving away two entries to the SHAPE Diva Dash of your choice—one for you and one for a friend—with eight cities to choose from: Boulder, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Charlotte, Chicago, Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and New York. The winner will also receive a subscription to SHAPE magazine and a month’s supply of EAS Lean 15 Bars and Lean 15 Protein Powder.

The SHAPE Diva Dash is a series of 5K obstacle runs for women that nix the mud, barbed wire and fire in favor of challenges that test strength, speed and balance like balance beams, tire mountains, and wall climbs. Each course includes 10-12 obstacles, many of which have tougher and easier versions so you can choose your own adventure. And you can skip any obstacle if you’re just not feeling it.

Run individually or as a team. Lots of ladies dress for the occasion; you’ll see tutus, sparkle, neon and more. My friends and I donned neon “I ♥ NY” gear at the 2013 Diva Dash.

If you want to get a group of friends together to run, be sure to use coupon code AXKB to get $10 off your registration fee. Share and use it as many times as you like.

I’ve been using EAS products to help me train. The two included in the giveaway are my personal favorites. The chocolate peanut butter flavor EAS Lean 15 Bars are downright delicious. I’m also a smoothie fan. So I throw two scoops of vanilla cream flavor Lean 15 Protein Powder into a blender along with spinach, fruit and water. Yum! It’s one of my favorite breakfasts.

Ready to enter the giveaway? The more ways you enter the more chances you have to win. Skip any entry options you don’t want. The giveaway will be open until Monday, May 5 at 12 p.m. ET, when I’ll choose a winner at random.

UPDATE: We have a winner! chose a winner at random for me: Kelly Drinkwine. Congratulations, Kelly and thank you to everyone who entered!

SHAPE Diva Dash & EAS Prizes

As I mentioned above, SHAPE and EAS hired me to work on this project. But I put this giveaway together myself. I thought it would be fun to offer something to my readers. Adventure Fit, SHAPE and EAS generously agreed to kick in the prizes.

Looks like fun, but unfortunately I’m not near any of those cities, so I won’t enter this contest to give others a chance. Have fun!
