Win a Cinderella in Rags Running Costume Skirt

I’m a Disney running costume junkie. I’ve run four Disney races and three of them in costume: 2012 Tinker Bell Half Marathon, 2012 Disney’s Princess Half Marathon and 2013 Walt Disney World Marathon.

So I’ve decided to spread the running costume love.

Running Costume Skirt Giveaway

I’m giving away a brand new skirt identical to the one I wore at the Walt Disney World Marathon on Jan. 13 when I dressed as Cinderella in Rags.

If Cinderella in Rags isn’t your style, the skirt could also double as a running costume piece for Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty’s Briar Rose, Hercules, or something more creative like Bambi.

Here are the details:

  • Size M
  • It has an elastic waistband so it will fit a range of sizes. Retailer’s size guide says it fits waist 27-28 inches, hip 37-38 inches. I wore the size S, but the M also fit me just fine.
  • 100% polyester with sequins
  • The skirt is brand new, never worn with the tags still on
  • Say What?” brand.

The skirt isn’t a “running skirt” per se, like the Team Sparkle skirt I wore at Disney’s Princess Half Marathon. It has a lining, so it’s a little heavier. But it did the trick for a full marathon and didn’t cause me any problems or chafing.

So if you’re running Disney’s Princess Half Marathon, Expedition Everest Challenge, the Disneyland Half Marathon, Tower of Terror 10-Miler, Wine & Dine Half Marathon or any other Disney race, this skirt is a great base piece that you can wear again and again. I know I will.

How to Enter

Enter the giveaway via the PunchTab widget below. Be sure to click through to see all the ways you can enter—enter via the channels you want and skip the ones you don’t want. The more ways you enter, the better your chances are of winning.

The giveaway is open now through Tuesday at 5 p.m. EST, when PunchTab will choose a winner for me at random. I’ll mail the skirt as soon as the lucky winner supplies their address. (If you’re running Disney’s Princess Half Marathon on Feb. 24 and want the skirt before you leave for Walt Disney World, I’ll do my best to make it happen.)

Good luck and happy running!

I love running in costume because it makes the run about the fun and not about the “race.” You get to just enjoy yourself and you know that everyone else wearing the costume (or just seeing the costumes) are getting enjoyment too.

I ran for the first time in Tigger costume at the WDW Half last month and it’s so awesome for people to be able to recognize you and to get random strangers calling out your name! Even if you couldn’t get your name on your bib – I had people calling out “Go Tigger!” all morning which is heartening <3

I’m game for anything that makes running more fun. Making people smile as I run past in a costume is such a joyful feeling.

I didn’t start running in a costume until I did the Reindeer Run 2 years ago. It was tons of fun so I decided to dress up for last year’s Princess Half. I don’t dress up often but wearing costumes is such a fun way to show your personality during a race!

I like to run in costume because it’s outside of my normal comfort zone and therefore silly and fun.

Love running in costume because it makes it that much more fun – plus it’s a great conversation starter and at the Disney races, I’m there to socialize and enjoy. :)
