Calling all exhibitionists! Have you always wanted to run in your underwear for a good cause? Well, now’s your chance.

Cupid’s Undie Run is bringing “hilarity to charity” in 17 cities nationwide just in time for Valentine’s Day. The PG-13 underwear run is a national fundraiser for The Children’s Tumor Foundation. Run for fun or run to help raise $1 million to fight Neurofibromatosis.

All you have to do? Strip to your skivvies and run like a kid again—while they’re not looking, of course.

Organizers describe Cupid’s Undie Run as a “mile-ish run in your bedroom best.” The fun begins at noon on February 9 in most cities and February 16 in Cleveland and St. Louis. The Undie Run itself starts at 2 p.m. followed by awards and a post-run party.

Joining the current city lineup of Washington, D.C., New York City, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver and Cincinnati are a few towns new to the Undie Run for 2013: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Orlando, Minneapolis, Philly, Cleveland, St. Louis, Detroit and Sydney, Australia.

Cupid’s Undie Run began in 2010 when three men—Brendan Hanrahan, Chad Leathers and Bobby Gill—set out to raise awareness for Neurofibromatosis (NF) after Leathers’s brother was diagnosed with the genetic disorder. NF patients suffer from nerve tumors throughout the body, causing blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and chronic pain. The Children’s Tumor Foundation is a research organization searching for a cure. Fully 100 percent of funds raised by Cupid’s Under Run go directly to the Children’s Tumor Foundation; Cupid’s Undie Run is a non-profit organization run by dozens volunteers.

Cupid’s Undie Run has raised just over $425,000 so far, with the goal of topping $1 million. Runners pay a $50 registration fee and can set a fundraising goal as individuals or teams. Participants have the chance to earn prizes like custom undies, VIP open bar nights, embroidered bathrobes, engraved iPod Nanos, romantic getaways and other goodies.

All runners must be at least 21-years-old. And kindly, Cupid’s Undie Run provides a free and secure bag check so you don’t have to bare it all whilst going to and from the event.

Don’t live near any of the Cupid’s Undie Run cities? You can still pitch in. Gimbal’s Fine Candies will contribute 15 percent of online sales proceeds from their Cherry Lovers candies from January 4, 2013 to March 31, 2013, in addition to a $25,000 donation as a national sponsor of the run. I can vouch for how delicious they are. My husband and I scarfed down an entire bag in one sitting. Visit gimbalscandy.com/cupidsundierun to purchase.

I don’t consider myself a wimp about the cold, but a February run in undies in cities like Chicago and Minneapolis? Sending warm thoughts and virtual high-fives to all those brave northern runners!
